The Lakshmi Mantra: aligning to the vibration of abundance (free download)

Recently, I decided to sit down and chant the Lakshmi mantra.  Nearing the end of 108 repetitions, inspiration struck and I thought to record an mp3 of myself singing the Lakshmi mantra and share it with others who might want to align with her energy and of course, with the energy of abundance.

Lakshmi is, of course, the Hindu Goddess of material and spiritual wealth.  Abundance comes in many forms.  Sing the mantra with an open heart, offer your voice and be open to receive something wonderful!  Lakshmi’s mantra is:  OM SHRIM MAHA LAKSHMI NAMAHA.

The recording is 19 minutes long.  I begin with playing my Tibetan bowl and I chant 9 OMs.  This is followed by 54 repetitions of the Lakshmi mantra (half of 108.)  Then, I finish with the Christ Consciousness mantra– as my friend Raj, who taught me these mantras says, we chant it with an “attitude of gratitude.”  I include that at the very end.

Nonetheless, the recording is meant to be like a guide, hopefully you will want to chant with it, in whatever range of voice you feel comfortable.

Abundance Prayer

I found this Abundance Prayer by Emmett Fox on Dr. Loretta Standley’s website.  She suggested the prayer be said daily for 40 days. If a day is missed, start over.

Today, I accept God’s gift of abundance.  Today everything I am and have that is Good, is increased.  I identify everything I do with success.  I think affirmatively.  And with all my prayers, I accept abundance.  Whatever I need, whenever I need it, will always be at hand.  I no longer see negation, or delay, or stagnation in my undertakings.  Rather, I claim that the action of the Living Spirit prospers everything I do, increases every Good I possess and brings success to me and everyone I meet.  Everything I think about and do is animated by the Divine Presence, sustained by the Infinite Power, and multiplied by the Divine Goodness.

In Jesus Christ’s name I pray, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.

Amen.

Prayer for Clearing Negative Energy

Yesterday I was browsing Dr. Loretta Standley’s website– quite the treasure trove of information.  Anyway, as I was reading through answers to readers’ questions, she listed the two prayers which I thought were lovely and really helpful.  She suggested that they be said daily for 40 days- and if you miss a day, to start over.

Earlier today I was reading a prayer list on a different site and a couple of people on there felt that they had some sort of curse on them.  People can send us negative thoughts and energy that can truly affect us.  That’s why I felt inspired to share what I read on Dr. Standley’s site.  Here is the prayer for clearing negative energy.

Higher Forces, come into my body

Give me strength, guidance and protection

And please God, put a strong protective Light around my body,

And in the name of Jesus, cancel all negative thoughts and actions

that are being directed to me,

And eliminate the enemies power to do any evil to me.

So shall it be.

In Jesus Christ’s name I pray, who lives and reigns with the Mother & Father and the Holy Spirit,

One God forever and ever,

Amen.

Let the angels help you steady your “wings”

I have a message for you:  your Guardian Angel says “hello!”

I’m here to remind you that you have an unseen team loving you unconditionally, just waiting for you to say hi!  Can you imagine?  Your own entourage of beautiful beings of light just waiting for you to say, “gee, I could kind of use your help with…”  Big or small, people- it doesn’t matter. We all go through periods of change and growth- and sometimes it feels difficult.  I call on my Guardian Angels to steady my wings, if you will, as I fly through whatever turbulence is appearing.  I encourage you to do the same.

The angels are around for everything, not just difficulty, but for fun as well!  Yesterday I had the pleasure of singing for an outreach program with an opera company.  My colleague Jean and I sang for approximately 50 young children who are involved in an arts program at the center we visited.

I love to perform, but sometimes get nervous because the literature is difficult and I want to do a good job.  Not only that, but I want the company to keep calling me back!  Yesterday morning as I was preparing for the performance, I was feeling a bit unsettled and I knew it was time to call in my powerful angel friends for some help.  I called upon Archangel Michael to help me get rid of my fear and help me to pump up my confidence and courage.   I called on Archangel Chamuel to help me feel more peace.  I said hello to my Guardian Angels and asked for their help as well. I then did my part, which was “to sit.”  I meditated for a bit and did what I know to do to get myself more calm.  When I speak to the angels, I don’t get all fancy and formal.  I speak to the angels just as I would speak to my human friends!  (They even get a little attitude sometimes when I’m feeling impatient, but I can feel them giggling at me when I get like that.)

As I went about my day, I continually saw the “angel lights” swirling about.  Yellow and green lights traveling together, Archangels Uriel and Raphael, the Archangels of emotional and physical healing.  Then, throughout the rest of the day, blue/purple lights.  I saw them in the mirror as I was putting on my make-up….  in the car on my way up to St. Pete……once I was in the theater where I was to perform.  There he was, Archangel Michael, reminding me that he was there, he was with me.  Archangel Michael governs the throat chakra- how appropriate that he be with me, helping me sing.  Not only that, but Archangel Michael is very present in my life, constantly reminding me that I am safe, guarded and protected.  And he keeps me in line!  (I’ve seen evidence of that, as well!)

I experienced such calm once I asked for the angels’ help.  It was amazing to feel the shift to peace pretty quickly.  Feeling calm, I was able to enjoy my performing that much more and have a blast.  Further, I was amazed as I watched other blessings unfold for me – a couple of more jobs with the opera company materialized right before my very eyes as a result of being at that concert.  It was pretty amazing.

Just as the Angels and Archangels were there for me, they are there for you.  Invite them into your life and watch miracles and blessings unfold!  Experience yourself wrapped in their wings, showering you with peace and love!
